Hi guys,
I'm a little late to the party, but then again, better late then never ;).
I recently bought a used JP-80 with OS v.2 and I am wondering if it's possible to use sounds/registrations from OS v.1? I have no V1.0 backup and I also can't seem to find a ''downgrade'' to OS v.1 (so I can backup the regs, update again and then copy the regs back).
I've tried google, nothing to be found. Called a Roland service center, and they directed me to the Roland factory's technical department, still no answer :(.
So I thought, why not try my luck at the Roland Clan forum. So here we are.
Thanks in advance for any possible solution!
Kind regards,
Dan

Re: OS v.1 registrations/sounds on OS v.2
Hi guys,
Let me rephrase my questions: is there still anybody out there who has the original os v.1 regestrations/sounds backed up?
If so, would that person be so kind to share them?
Cheerio & muchas gracias,
Danny
ps: jp-80.com also is offline for some time now, otherwise I would be able to download them from there.

Re: OS v.1 registrations/sounds on OS v.2
Hey Dan,
I have them and I have merged my favourite V1 with V2 also.
Happy to share - see attached (V1 sounds) - hope it works - let me know
Cheers
Pete :-)

Hi Pete,
Thanks a lot for your reply!
I'll try them as soon as I can and I will let you know if it worked.
Cheerio,
Danny
ps: I've heard via via that the moderator of jp-80.com will also be launching a new website soon. Or at least activate the old one for the time being.

My pleasure Danny
Thanks for the info re the jp-80.com site - was hoping it would come back - think I have most of what I want from it but always hoping there might be more.
Take it easy

Hey Danny
You might find this spreadsheet useful
I used it to decide which V1 and V2 registrations I wanted to combine...
Cheers

Is there anything else from the JP-80 site or anywhere that we may need to get the most out of our JP-80 , what all was on the site ?
Thamks
Re: OS v.1 registrations/sounds on OS v.2
So sorry for this ridiculously late reply...
Would you like a copy of everything from the JP80 site (I saved it all and happy to zip it up for you).
Cheers
