RD-88 Piano
Hello,
seems pretty interesting, RD SN-Piano with capability to load ZEN sounds from Fantom and Jupiter-X boards. 3000 presets (remembering me about the Integra). It is a new Keyboard. Am I right?
Cheers, Benny

Re: RD-88 Piano
I just saw it, and it's exactly what I've been hoping for!
Re: RD-88 Piano
So, that $1200 RD-88 gets 3000+ Zen Core sounds. Color me interested.
Re: RD-88 Piano
And if anyone spots it in the wild, I’d like to know if it has particle board underneath.
Re: RD-88 Piano
Ordered nevertheless.

Re: RD-88 Piano
I am also very interested in this as I have the RD800 which is great but just to heavy in a flight case to move around. Selling it in UK as have not used it due to weight.
Done some enquiries and it is confirmed that the casing on the RD 88 is plastic, like the FP30.
Shouldn't be too big an issue ..the weight saving has to come from somewhere.
I was originally horrified by the 12v wall wart but now like the idea of being able to power it from a 12v power pack for small outdoor gigs
The most recent and more comprehensive video is now up from Sweetwater

Avail time seems to have moved out in some stores to April so may be a while it lands in the UK.
Button presses sound a bit cheap on the video , I hope that this the case in reality
I do hope that
i) You can save patches/scenes with easy to access for gigs. as have different layers and transpose settings for each song.
ii)The sound set seems a little different from the RD800/FA series
so hope the internal sound library maintains some of my well used and liked sounds from the brass section. Need this for superstition, and Delilah among others.

Re: RD-88 Piano
There's a supplementary document about how to install EXZ wave expansions into the RD-88. So shouldn't it have EXZ wave expansion slots? But it's not clear whether the 88 has more than one slot. It comes with EXZ 001. It's confusing.
