Hi,
I am trying hard to connect my FA08 to my Mac (Mojave osx). I have connected the keyboard with both midi cable and usb (rectangular). It is not recognized. I also downloaded the last Mojave osx driver. And my firmware is 2.02. I will buy a usb square cable, as a last resource.
So, I am losing hope.
Could you please give some ideas on what could be happened?
Thanks!

Re: connecting FA08 to a Mac
I've got a Roland FA-08 as well, and have no problems connecting it to my Mac (Mojave).
First, download the Mac driver from here (fourth in the list) :
https://www.roland.com/global/support/b ... s_drivers/
Mac OS 10.14 comes with that driver preinstalled but it can't hurt installing it anyway.
After reboot, connect the FA-08 with the USB-B (square) to USB-A on the Mac (the USB-A connection on the FA-08 is for updates, not for connecting to a DAW).
Launch Garageband and watch the magic. Haven't tried it with any other DAW (the included Ableton Live is not my cup of tea) but Garageband works perfectly. I will be upgrading to Logic Pro X in the near future.
Good luck !
