Hi,
Currently I hv Yahama PSR 1000. I wn switchover to either Roland or Korg. Since I am used to play along with preset styles I am in search of such a arranger workstation which can give me all such features.
i hv seen the demo of juno G which has the features like 4 Audio input tracks apart from 16 track sequenser. but whether it has the split and layer facilities?
Since I am not a full time professional user, how ease it will be for me since i hv never used korg or Roland before.
Similary is it worthwhile to opt Fantom Xa ..
Can u suggest .....
Juno G/ XP 60 / korg PA50
Re: Juno G/ XP 60 / korg PA50
Yes, in Juno-G you can layer/split up to 16 different sounds (patches). Juno-G may also be a better option than the Xa, because of a slightly bigger LCD and 4 audio tracks and it's around $400 less in price.
Re: Juno G/ XP 60 / korg PA50
As I understand it neither the Juno-G or the Fantom-Xa are arranger workstations in that neither comes with a large selection of preset music style patterns. Roland does, however, offer a selection of arranger-workstations. I believe they are the "E" series.
Re: Juno G/ XP 60 / korg PA50
Oh yes, sorry, missed this one. Of course neither of the Fantoms and Junos have the arranger style stuff. Please look at EXR-5s and EXR-7s, and the new E-50.
Re: Juno G/ XP 60 / korg PA50
I don't think you need other arranger. PSR is rich enough, I think. I used PSR1500 before. I don't think Roland or Korg arranger is as good as PSR in term of presets. If you want everthing written by you, you can look at Fantoms,Motif or Trition. Xa is good keyboard to do your own music and personized patches.
You may find cheap Fantom S that may cost lower than Xa or Juno-g. You can test yourself whether you can live without arranger.
