As per thread title Is There anyway to stop G
Defaulting to Single Mode Preset Patch 0001 on boot? Its starting to annoy me a little bit I want to start wherever I last left off when I switch back on.

I also find the preset accoustic piano sounds a bit... lacking but found one today that's sounding quite good to my ears its patch number 1668 Recital Grand.

Been using the Manhattan one myself and this makes a pleasant change.

Nevermind just figured it out,buoy hold down shift on the song edit/play screen then some hidden options appear & its F9 for TrkEdit Ins.

I'm not sure if this is any help but in your Fantom G's Song Play / Edit Screen if you hit F7 there's a 'Save as SMF' option.

Perhaps you can do this and load it in your DAW?

Yup got my TD-4 kit connected upto the G8 as simple as connecting up a MIDI cable & recording straight onto part 10.

Simply plug & play.

The only thing I find disappointing about the G is the internal accoustic piano sounds.

Sounds bizarre, tried doing a factory reset, or hoovering out your audio inputs in case something metallic has found its way in there? although I doubt that's very likely if the fault is there even when mix-in is disabled.
