Re: MV-8800 Modification - Removable Compact Flash Drive
Hi, any chance of a full step -by-step description of your installation process for the compactflash in place of CD? I will reciprocate somehow. I can do anything if all the steps are there, and nothing without them. Like for instance, I have no idea at all what to buy or where to buy it. midimania...

Re: Stop button stopped working properly :(
I think I understand now why Deoxit D5 ruins the transport switches. D5 contains a solvent which can wash away carbon layers. To restore the switches you want a remote control repair kit like this one: https://www.ebay.com/itm/REMOTE-CONTROL-REPAIR-KIT-RESTORE-CONDUCTIVE-RUBBER-KEYPAD-FIX-TV-ALARM-...

Re: Split pattern track to Song tracks?
copy as midi clip in pattern mode track by track.. paste the track pattern(s) in sequence mode assign the right instruments to tracks. I dont use the vga right now so for me this midi copy, paste function is in the pattern edit and seq edit menus respectively. in the the vga mode they probably float...

Re: MV-8800 Playing patterns
to add to this...you can hold down shift and padbank. and you get the track mute window to mute and unmute tracks..otbt wrote:by switching tracks up & down with the cursor buttons each track is like a sample bank in MPC style.Hope that make sense...

Re: MV-8800 Playing patterns
btw the patterns do loop in a patch..by just pressing a pad...have to set the loopmode to forward instead of oneshot.
what I did notice was that the pattern loses volume with the 127release time unless you hold the pad down which isnt ideal...but maybe thats fixable

Re: MV-8800 Playing patterns
and what about..assigning resampled patterns to patches push the release time to 127 and when you click the pad you have the entire pattern playing... you can hit multiple patterns at the same time to mix patterns..and they mute when you stop pressing them. or you have patterns with release time low...

Re: MV-8000 hard drive to solid state drive?
a tip i saw from youtube user e two one (or sumthing) was also quite helpful In that respect.. just use the new song from the setup within the project. and switching patches in and out of the library. only drawback is that your projects become bulky but you load them only once anyway.

Hi everyone...i am a new user here.As per my knowledge the circuitboard with the transport buttons is kinda trapped beneath the fan compartment and the motherboard. no way you can do anything from this state of the machine. The way I see it you have to do close to a complete disasembly of the mv to ...

Re: Stop button stopped working properly :(
it failed...bad thing is I decided to use the D5 on the other 3 transport buttons aswell. i sprayed a short burst in the affected switch... worked the mechanism a bit to get it in..and all seemed well. So I decided to give the play/back/rec buttons a maintenance spray.. After a while I noticed the s...
