Re: Roland Jd800 aftertouch
Hi, JD-800 aftertouch is notirious for needing very hard press on the keys to get it responding. There is a chap on YouTube who does the red glue repair and then a resistor modification to make the aftertouch much more sensitive meaning you don't have to get an elephant to stand on your keys to make...

Re: BR900-CD schematic or service notes wanted
Hi, I have a BR900CD and the screen is fine when track is zero'd and reading 1.001.001 etc.- as soon as I increase song position beyond that it dims. I think it might be power related in so much that at zero'd position the screen is getting 6v, when displaying poorly this drops to 4.8v. Did you ever...

Yes, this can be repaired. Get replacement tact buttons either 2 pin or 4 pin. I think they are 5mm but you will tye actual Suze searching Biss BR900CD replacement parts.

Re: Inputs
Hi, go into system info under settings and select reinitialise. You should then be able to select analogue input source. This is a known bug in MV8000.

Re: Number 4 (JKL) button triggers repeatedly
Hi, I appreciate that your post is from a couple if years ago but thought I'd drop a note as it may help others. I am just about to replace my #5 tact button as it is not triggering at all. The carbon contact on the button wears out and the fix is to desolder old, solder new 2 or 4 pin tact button (...

PAD Buttons Not Working FIX
Hi, This applies to the MV8000 Roll, Hold, Clipboard, PAD Bank, Delete Buttons but will likely work the same for MV8800. This is not a fix for the 16 pads, only the above buttons. In my case Hold and Roll were not working. Took MV apart, checked ribbon cable, did continuity check with multimeter, al...

Re: Help with FANTOM-6 & MPC 2500 MIDI
Hi OP, I did a bit more messing about. Tried various settings, no difference, created a new song which did make a difference in that the MV8000 was able to record a long simple one part sequence with no issues. When I tried to play a pattern recorded in the Fantom back I noted midi notes dropping of...

Re: Help with FANTOM-6 & MPC 2500 MIDI
Hi, having the exact same problem as OP describes however in my case I have Fantom 7 (latest firmware) slaved to MV8000. I record a sequence on the MV8000 from the Fantom and after about 8 measures of recording the Fantom hangs on a note, locks and I end up having to pull the lead out to get it to s...

Good post and thank you for sharing.
I have just done the same in my MV8000 using the floppy drive space so no need to cut the slot. Works great.
Keep on trucking 🚚
