Re: How do you use the controller buttons S1 and S2?
Has anybody figured out how to make the organ rotary speed switch latchable via the modulation lever? My old RD700 did that except it used the pitch bend which mimicked the action of a Leslie half-moon switch. It was a clever implementation for organ players used to that sort of thing. Using S1 is a...

Anybody got a good FA Lucky Man Patch?
I've found "You and Luck", but have yet to start working with it. Any tips for fattening up the sound and making it more authentic?

Re: Weird effect on lower split
Plas, take a look at shift+part view for the lower part and see if you can shorten the decay, that might do the trick.

Re: Keyboard Swell Patch?
Thr, if you find the right tone, you might be able to get there by programming the attack on it. Just a thought, good luck.

Re: FA08 Pad Utility Drum Samples
MissysDad, Have you tried playing along with rhythm patterns? Page 36 in the manual. You can pick different drum sets, patterns, time signatures, bpms... One of the Studio Set parts is for rhythm patterns, I think it might be #10. Cautionary note - they are LOUD compared to the rest of the patches s...

Roby, there is an OSC SYNC Lead that sounds a lot like that, stock patch.

Just a shot in the dark here, but could the mix levels need to be saved with the song? Maybe you have to save the song too?

Re: turning Part 16 into regular part?
Blotchy, is it greyed out? I just did this. Go to the sequencer screen and change part 16 from pad to MIDI in the left-most column. It frees up that part.

Re: Pads to select SPLITS for live play - possible?
Joseph, I believe you can also do that with the Pads in Part Select mode. If Part 1/Pad 1 is your bass, you can turn the other parts on and off via the pads leaving the bass undisturbed and always on. Might be less work than Keyboard Switch Groups. All the keyboard switches have to be on for the par...

Re: problem transposing sound in studio set please help.
Josh, You didn't say how you were doing it, but I assume you were using the Transpose button on the front panel because that is global. To do it on the part level go to Shift+Part View and you can do it on a per part basis. I'm not at the KB so I can't report what page it's on, but it's there. Good ...

Re: Can Sound Modify Knobs control Cutoff for Different Tones?
Audio, The Sound Modify knobs are global. While I'm pretty sure you can assign your parameters to the knobs, the only way to do what you want is if only one part in the studio set is active. Then, even though each knob could affect that part with its assignment, Knob 1 would apply reverb to Part 1: ...

Re: Saving Sounds on The Roland FA-06
67, First, your dual tone must be saved as a studio set. When you were selecting Save Tone it was likely saving the highlighted tone of the studio set (Full Orchest in your picture). Second, to save a tone you modified, select Save Tone and rename it. It will be saved in the group the original tone ...

Re: Default Piano Sound vs Preview sound
Gabor, Changing the velocity from Real to a fixed number defeats the velocity sensitivity and fixes it at a certain value. To access the keyboard settings press Menu>System>Keyboard. You can then select the Keyboard Velocity Curve (Light, Medium, or Heavy) which is the perceived "touch" of...

Re: "Classic" Roland Sounds on FA
Super,
The sound list can be found here. I didn't see the MKS but I did see an MK-80 EP. I'm sure you could find something that would work for you:

Good luck!
