Thinking of Buying
Hi Guys I currently use a lot of JP-08 boutique patches for live work with a midi controller, but the boutique range are not the best with regard to have at a gig, so an option would be to upgrade to the System 8. Is there a noticeable different in sound quality from the system 8 (Jupiter 8 patches)...

Re: USB Powered - Warbling Noise
Still the problem can be caused simply by having the Boutique connected to the computer. When connecting the unit to the wall with some usb charger all the buzzing and humming should go away. Regarding sending patch changes to the computer, it should be still possible by using some oldschool usb mi...

Hi Hooking my JP-08 up with the USB cable produces a type of alien warbling sound in my mixer. Disconnect the USB (and run on batteries) and all is fine. Anyone come across this problem? USB Powered - Warbling Noise
Hi
Hooking my JP-08 up with the USB cable produces a type of alien warbling sound in my mixer. Disconnect the USB (and run on batteries) and all is fine.
Anyone come across this problem?
I need the usb cable to send program patch changes form my Macbook (via Logic) to the JP-08.
Thanks in advance.

I got this all up and running, however, having the USB plugged in brings an alien like warbling noise into the mix at my mixer.

Change JP-08 Patches with midi CC messages
Anyone have this up and running?
I used to be able to change patches on my old INtegra7 with CC messages from Logic Pro X, but have just got the JP-08 and would like to do the same.

JP-08 Levels
Hi I'm trying to establish the best way to use mu JP-08 sounds live. I did not want to take this out live, as it's quite flimsy, but after a number of other efforts failed (sampling it), it looks like to only option. So my concern is patch levels when changing patches playing at gig level. It looks ...

Re: JP-08 patches in VST
I don't know the individual settings for the JP-08 patches as they are designed by someone else, but is there a way of replicating these (without the listening and writing option) on the Jupiter 8 vst ? You can see the patch settings using this editor: http://www.breadandbuttersounds.com/#JP08Edito...

Re: JP-08 patches in VST
Hi Devo. I'm ever-so sorry as I'm mistaken about this editor as you are correct in that it can't read the settings from the last selected patch and there's a reason for that. Annoyingly, the Roland Boutiques don't send that information. I know this as when I reviewed my e-mails, I discovered that I...

Re: JP-08 patches in VST
Hi Devo. I have to say that I highly recommend the Editor by Momo Muller: https://jp-08remote.jimdo.com/ I've been using it to reverse engineer how patches are put together so it makes a great learning tool. You will need to be running at least the JP-08 System Update Version 1.10 or preferably lat...

JP-08 patches in VST
Hi I'm using 3rd party custom patched for the JP-08, but don't want to take this out for live work, as it's nowhere near robust enough.
