Re: Roland D10 chassis (metal parts)

Hi, don’t know if this is still valid, but I have a quite mint chassis for the D-10 in Europe for sale.

Re: RD-700sx - selecting favourite setup via MIDI

I ran Intro this problem with an other Roland Synth. You should record the program changes for the desired Programm with a sysex recording software. Single sysex sequences then can be sent back via your favourite DAW.

This method works more reliable, than Standard program changes via MIDI LSB and MSB

Re: Output Issue

So I disassembled the unit and ordered a new Volume pot. The old one had been repaired by a noob, was damaged and only one channel worked (wrong pot, two legs broken, bad soldering) . I desoldered that one, put in the new one, and it works!!! I have used my Fantom G for about 10 years, but since I h...

Mainstage Performance Change

I love my JS and use it extensively for my Genesis Cover band project. Since program changes (MSB/LSB/Program number) from Mainstage via MIDI to JS do not work properly, I wrote 64 MIDI Files to make the program change work. I assume, that this problem is valid for a number of Roland synths, but I d...

Output Issue

Hello folks, Lately I was given a Juno Stage with SRX-07 for FREE!! It needed some minor cleaning, but the overall condition is fine. It has an issue with the output. Mono works on all outputs (L/R, one cable plugged), but as soon as I plug in a second cable, the sound disappears from the right chan...

ARX Installation stops after 5%

Hi, I recently sold my ARX Brass Board to a customer, who is facing a severe installation problem. Installation stops after 5% and a message occurs: "System Memory Damaged!" Does the message refer to the Fantom G System Memory or to the ARX System Memory? I found something in the manual bu...

Sounds like NEXUS on FG?

I want to create live sets that sound similar to reFx Nexus SQ(Sequence) sounds. Lead Synth on the right, accompainment with beat and one or two complex bass synth on the left. How would I create a LIVE Set, that contains a chromatic bass pattern AND a Rhythm pattern simultaniously? Could the rhythm...

Re: JV-1010 Performance Patches Issues

I guess, its a midi channel issue. The JV 1010 Performance Patches are controlled via channel 16, so changing the patches is only possible, when you switch the CP40 to transmit on channel 16. There are also charts available on the net with the msb and lsb to change the performance programs. Hope, th...

Re: Opening a Fantom G8?

Yes, I had mine resprayed, now looks like a Jupiter, but it lacks the thin side brackets and those are quite expensive, as they have to be custom made too.... I will insert pictures soon. BTW, It is named " Fantom of the JUPITER " If anyone needs a nearly new front edge panel, during he ha...

USB Floppy Emulator giveaway

hi folks, I´ve messed around with one of that USB Floppy Emulators for the Roland XP series, but never got it to work propperly. As I have sold my last XP50, I would like to give You a chance to figure out, if and how it really works. I already equipped it with a switch to emulate the floppy-eject-s...

It´s way better for the workflow to recreate old sounds on a surface you have been used to for many years, and, hey, arturia is not doing bad at all...
BTW, are patches compatible between the old JP-8 and Arturias V8 ? If so, then it´s one more argument for V8.

Re: JV-1010 patches

Build it yourself! 3 Patches for the B3 Sounds( 3x 3 sine tones plus click sound) layered in a Performance Patch. Add distortion and Lesley Speaker as FX. The only thing is, that you need external controllers to influence the single sine tones ---> drawbars. Use the " changeIt!" editor to ...

Re: Opening a Fantom G8?

You need a screwdriver and a photocamera. Flip the synth over ( be careful with the knobs and the pitch bender) unscrew everything and remove the bottom. You will see, that all electronic boards and devices are screwed tot he front edge panel, so unsrew it step by step and take photos of each step, ...

This would be a dream. But then nobody of the G-owners would evermore think of getting a Jupiter 80.

It stays a dream, but a sweet one....
