I see your point.
But I never thought of that as a problem. I just switch my monitors off.

Re: my new EDIROL M-16DX, is buggy or it's me?
<t>CHannels 13/14 and 15/16 are labeled as Aux Returns. They don't have Mute or Alt switching functions. This is fairly normal for small to medium format mixers. Go look at a Mackie or a Behringer or similar. ANd it's also clear i n the manual that there is no Mute or Alt routing facility on these c...

"Drivers: 5 (score on a scale of 1 to 10) I tested this one under Windows & Mac OS X. It faired better in Mac OS X. Under windows, there is no outgoing volume control, making it easy to damage your monitors speakers if you don’t have the return bus fader all the way down. In Mac OS X you c...

Re: MD-16DX Owners advise needed - MD-16DX Digital Mixer
<t>I also have an MD-16DX but I really don't think it will suit this application. <br/> It's great for me as I wanted a mixer for my guitar performance rack that I can connect to a PC with a single cable, and the two-box format appeals to me amongst other things. <br/> But bear in mind that it has a...

Re: EDIROL M-16DX V1.22 DRIVERS.
I installed mine on an old Dell laptop with a 1GHz PIII processor and 256 meg or RAM. So I don't think that is the problem.

Re: EDIROL M-16DX - Help!!!
Actually, it looks like it's more likely to be the drivers than the M-16DX itself. Maybe try with the drivers downloaded from:

Wondows XP driver is at the bottom of the page.

Re: EDIROL M-16DX - Help!!!
<t>Hi. <br/> <br/> I don't think I can help, but maybe it gives you hpe if I say I got my M-16DX just six weeks ago and I have had no trouble installing it on two different machines, both laptops with WinXP SP3. <br/> <br/> I suggest that, in Safe mode, you remove the M-16DX in the device manager an...

Re: Hardware MIDI sequencer
Yes!
I used a Yamaha QY700 for several years - the Mother of all hardware MIDI sequencers. Seriously powerful.
One year ago I switched to the Roland MV-8800 which does both MIDI and audio sequencing with optional mouse and VGA display. It's like having Cubase in hardware.

No - don't change the file system.
Your computer hard disk is NTFS - OK. But your computer can still see the FAT file system on the MV. That is not the problem.

<t>If you can open the MV hard drive in Windows Explorer, you can see all the files and folders and you can move them around as you like. <br/> <br/> If the MV says that is connected successfully via USB but you cannot open the MV hard drive in Windows Explorer, then I think the computer is the prob...

Interesting.
When I double-click the MV hard drive it opens with Explorer. Can you tell it to open with Explorer (Windows Explorer)?

DON'T activate Winamp or WMP. It will try to reorganise the MV8800 hard disk and corrupt it in the process.
Do you start the connection from the MV8800?
Like in CHapter 18 of the manual?
